Neumann Leathers Building Installation
I was lucky enough to be invited to exhibit it in the Hoboken Neumann Leathers Building Open Studio for the second running of NJ State Art Weekend. I was offered to show the tent in the rarely used attic space. It was the exact opposite of the space the tent was created in; dusty, old, and no walls. Not to miss an opportunity, I ran with the idea of using Mylar strung up to help make the tent look as if it was one of many tents. It worked well for the space, and I once again had engaging and deep conversations with the myriad of people who came by that weekend looking to engage with Art. I was extremely pleased that the roving musician for the weekend, Martin Cole, found his way into my tent and proceeded to make himself a singing tenant for a while. He made the tent become a living breathing entity, it was remarkable. Click on this video to see some of what I was able to capture.
